Australia’s Department of Home Affairs has expanded the list of accepted English language tests for visa purposes from five to nine as of 7 August 2025, aiming for consistent scoring and greater flexibility. From 13 September 2025, changes to the Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482) will introduce three new test options, adjust some existing test and score requirements, and end acceptance of the Cambridge C1 Advanced test for this visa.

Saudi Arabia has extended its grace period for expired visit visas until 25 August 2025, allowing holders to apply for exit permits without overstay fines, though penalties and entry bans will apply after the deadline.
