Summary
Malaysian immigration authorities detained 122 people in two separate raids in Johor.

The first operation, early on Sept 28 near a cemetery, led to the arrest of 104 foreigners — mostly Indonesians and one Filipino woman — aged between two months and 63 years, for lacking valid documents or overstaying.

The second raid, late on Sept 27 at two entertainment outlets in Johor Baru, resulted in the arrest of a local man believed to be the manager, along with 17 foreigners (four Bangladeshi men, four Indonesian men, and nine Chinese women aged 18–44) suspected of working illegally.

All detainees are being held at the Setia Tropika immigration depot under investigation for offences under Malaysia’s Immigration Act and Regulations.
