Immigration and deprivation causing UK public to lose faith in politicians, says Rayner

Government officials insist the response is not politically motivated but part of a broader effort to rebuild trust and unity in communities. A cross-party Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion has also begun work to address these deep-rooted issues.
