In Australia, from 1 July 2025, skilled visa income thresholds will increase by 4.6% to reflect updated average earnings data. These changes will not impact existing visa holders or nominations lodged before that date.

In Canada, as of 25 June 2025, the list of eligible fields of study for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) has been revised to align with Express Entry priorities. A total of 119 new programs in key sectors were added, and 178 were removed. Students who applied before this change remain eligible if their program was on the list at the time of application.

Hong Kong announced that, effective 8 September 2025, fees for visa and travel document services will be revised. These changes are subject to legislative approval, with the bill presented to the Legislative Council on 2 July 2025.

In Ireland, starting 30 June 2025, financial requirements for non-visa required students will align with those for visa-required students. For one-year study programs, students must show access to €10,000. For six- to eight-month courses, the new monthly requirement is €833, equating to €4,998 or €6,665 depending on the length of stay.

In the United States, as of 18 June 2025, the State Department is resuming F, M, and J visa processing but with expanded vetting requirements. Applicants must set social media accounts to public and expect thorough checks, including online activity, to screen for potential security concerns. This may reduce the volume of visa interviews and prioritize certain categories such as J-1 physicians.
