Japan, South Korea to Establish Priority Immigration Lanes

Japan and South Korea will introduce priority immigration lanes at two major airports in each country starting in June to shorten entry times for travelers. This initiative marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations and aims to encourage bilateral exchanges. The lanes will be available at Haneda and Fukuoka Airports in Japan, and Gimpo and Gimhae Airports in South Korea. Eligible passengers include those who entered the country within the past year and their family members, for flights arriving between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with online pre-registration required. This follows a 2023 agreement between the countries' leaders to ease immigration procedures.
