Employers Should Prepare for Immigration Raids

Employers may face criminal charges for knowingly hiring unauthorized workers, which could result in substantial fines and imprisonment.

To prepare, businesses should audit I-9 records, enroll in E-Verify, ensure tax and payroll compliance, and establish a clear immigration compliance policy. They should also designate a response team and plan for potential raids or inspections.
